Grand but welcoming, for up to 13 guests sleeping in seven bedrooms, the house has plenty of space for all with well appointed bathrooms, two large sitting rooms plus sitting / dining room, grand open staircase and entrance hall - and of course a huge kitchen/diner. We hope you'll love living here just as much as we have !

The Kitchen

The most important room in the house is also the largest, perfect for socialising as you prepare for a feast. the vast cherrywood table seats 12 and the room opens directly onto the shaded terrace for outdoor dining day and night. With a Smeg double oven, side by side American fridge freezer and dishwasher, double sink and island for food prep there's everything you might need, plus a second kitchen / pantry for laundry and storage. With limestone wall and floors , painted beams plus a huge fireplace - food really is at the heart of a stay here - this is France after all...

The Sitting Rooms and Hall

Huge double doors open 'en enfilade'  (a row of formal rooms) to connect the two light airy sitting rooms and grand entrance hall. Expect panelling, molded ceilings, crystal chandeliers and marble fireplaces - decorated in a comfortable contemporary style.

The Main Staircase

The three storey open staircase is the heart of the house and one of its grandest details. Made of Limousin oak with moulded iron balusters it is lit from above by a frosted porthole window and by night by a two tier crystal chandelier. While not for those with acrophobia it is great fun to sweep down of a morning !

First Floor Bedrooms

Opening off the main stairs on the first floor are our three traditional style bedrooms. Light, airy and filled with antiques, expect upholstered walls, original mouldings and marble fireplaces. The three rooms share a marble trimmed bathroom with clawfoot tub and huge walk in shower. One vast double, one generous double and a single bedroom to fight over !

Second Floor Bedrooms

At the top of the grand staircase are the former attics of the house - flooded with light these high ceilinged spaces with their huge beams have been converted into two enormous bedrooms - one of which, the master suite has an en-suite bathroom and in-room bathtub.

The Dining Wing

Opening off the hall and linked through to the kitchen is the dining wing - extensively remodelled by a London-based architect it features double height ceilings, internal balcony and a secondary staircase. Contemporary chandeliers, a cozy sitting area and an enormous table make for a grand yet comfortable space.

Secret Wing Bedrooms

Up a second staircase are two stylish contemporary  bedrooms, one bright romantic double, and a cheerful twin perfect for children, sharing a charming bathroom with marble washstand and walk in shower - private from the rest of the house they make a perfect secluded home away from home...

The Gardens and Pool

The property is accessed through a huge carved stone archway - close the giant five metre gates behind you and you are in your own, completely private world . You can dine on the shaded terrace outside the kitchen, feed the Koi in the fountain and pick your own fruits, vegetables and herbs from our garden beds.  

The sun-drenched 7 by 4 metre pool is completely secluded behind high walls, surrounded by a landscaped deck with plenty of places to lounge and enjoy a glass of wine.

The house also has an outdoor recreation and dining area with fire pit, ping pong, darts and table football to enjoy the long Summer evenings.
